Handwovens from the Heart - Today's Handwovens Tomorrow's Heirlooms
  Artist Statement

Weaving is more than just throwing the shuttle back and forth constructing cloth, for me it is a very powerful occurrence. When choosing the yarn type and fiber it is an intense encounter.  Considering the vast array of rich vibrant colors and the
enormous grouping of the textures sitting on the shelves
stimulates my artistic senses.
Mingling colors and textures to create a one of a kind
handwoven item is the ultimate manifestation of my
creative abilities I enjoy mingling new fibers with recycled
materials, especially for my rag rugs and rag table runners.
The materials are new textiles; the by-products of
hosiery mills, bedding factories, curtain manufacturers,
clothing and upholstery mills.
